2025 REVIEW - You can spend the day on the beach here, no charge. Just need to buy some food & drinks from them. Sergio has been here and next door as a waiter for years. Great service and cool breezes from the ocean. We even had White Chedda, the poet, come by and gave us one of his readings as a poet. The food is cheap and good too. 2025 REVIEW - Same good service with drinks & food. Run a tab and pay at the end of the day. Watch the vendors come by and sell you their wares.
This is a great beach restaurant. We went here on recommendation from some folks on beach. We weren’t sure we were at the right place until the man who would be our server asked if we are looking for La Carreta? He was wearing a logo shirt. *This is nice because there are a lot beach vendors trying to get your attention* We were in a shrimp mood and ordered coconut shrimp, shrimp filled avocado, and shrimp quesadilla, chips and guacamole. Coconut shrimp portion was freshly cooked and a generous portion. Shrimp quesadilla is highly recommended. The shrimp in avocado was my least favorite, but still delightful. They serve drinks and food to beach chairs which belong to restaurant. If one wanted to spend a couple hours under beach umbrella and lounge chair, the food is reasonably priced. This is another one of those businesses where you can tell the owner takes pride in the business by checking in on how we were doing.
Great place to relax on the beach in the sun or the shade with cold beverages, good food, great service and and abundance of beach vendors for anything else you need. Fun, attentive and friendly staff, and a perfect spot toward the end of the beach with unbeatable views. Enjoy the waves and the vibes in a very unhurried low pressure atmosphere. Good value for the location.
What an amazing experience in PV! The owner Romy will treat you like family the second you walk in ! The drinks were delicious and the food is homemade and generous ! This is a restaurant that is family owned so you can feel good supporting !

Spent the day here didn’t have to pay for chairs or sun beds as long as we bought food and drink. Most were charging for the hire of the seating. Highly recommended
Hands down an excellent place to go!! Service was top notch and the food was great. Highly recommend the coconut shrimp. We started our vacation here and compared every coconut shrimp we ordered to La Carreta and nobody could even come close. Staff is so friendly and attentive we spent many hours this vacation here with no regrets.
